Varilight Remote Controlled Dimmer Switch

Hi there,

Just purchased the above and had fitted last night for in my daughters bedroom.

It is one of those dimmers that is remote controlled you can be touched to activate.

My problem is when you switch it on it only switches on at the dimmest setting, you then have to brighten manually. Seeing as this is for my daughter, the idea was she could switch the light on fully if she woke in the night.

Does anyone know if this should switch on at full brightness or at the level it was last set to?

I have a varilight dimmer and it memorises my last light setting.

Just to update you........I spoke to Varilight directly and they suggested a faulty switch, been to B&Q and had it swopped, fitted just now and works a treat!

Why can't things work first time?!
