Varilight touch dimmer

Hello, Last night 4 LED lights above fitted wardrobes-connected to Varilight touch dimmer came on involuntarily. Dimmer Socket was hot. I never use these and have lived here for 8 years. Lights won’t go off.

I suspect the heat from whatever is the problem, triggered the light to come on as they are IR based. They are easy to replace, but personally I prefer the non-touch standard LED dimmers.

If you are competent you could remove the wire and isolate with a choc block (obviously isolating the supply first).

This will disable the switch until you decide what to do.

As you never use them replace the dimmer with a switch which you never turn on after the initial test.
