We need to decide tomorrow on roof window configurations!
We're extending over a victorian 7ft x 3 ft window so would like to try to give back as much light as possible to the original room. The new outside wall will have 8ft wide fench window configuration but will be 10ft further out than the current house wall. The original rear room wall will now be 26ft back from the outside wall and 16ft back from the roof windows.
So, are we better off having one large e.g. 114x118 window or a couple of 66x118 windows instead? I'd have thought two windows spaced a little apart would give the best spread...
I am, however, getting conflicting advice over which configuration will give the better spread of light throughout the day - the windows are east facing.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
