Venezuela

I think a few (both Republicans and democrats) have said, maduro was bad.

But it doesn't give trump any right to invade and impose his personal view on Venezuela. It's not even a congress view
Its the way the world is going. Good or bad

All part of the playbook.
Sanction a country to wreck the economy.
Then use agitators to destabilise the country internally.
The media then paints a picture of a country run by tyrants.
The above scenario is then used to justify a "Humanitarian intervention" to rescue the oppressed population.
Once in control , install a local stooge to run the country while outside interests loot the natural resources.

The same playook can be used in your own country.
The NHS for example, starve it of investment, the waiting lists and dissatisfaction grow, right wing politicians claim that publicly funded health systems don't work efficiently and that the whole idea of giving health care free at the point of need, when you can charge for it is some sort of communist plot.

Trump is taking the world backwards, back to the days of gunboat diplomacy.
Rather than lead through example, he will lead through fear and intimidation of smaller countries.
