Hi all,

Redecorating baby's room. Having it all replastered etc.

There is a vent in the corner of the room (all the bedrooms have one).

Should I keep it (and face with neat plastic cover) or block it up? Are they needed nowadays?

keep it. Fit a plastic "hit and miss" ventilator over it (in the bathroom and kitchen, use a plain grille.)

I see you have modern windows, when shut, these will seal tightly and prevent draughts and ventilation.

If you see any signs of damp or condensation, increase ventilation.

The fresh plaster will give off a lot of moisture as it dries.
