Hi there.
I am having my dining room carpet lifted this week & a laminate floor laid. The floor currently has a vent in it which has a grille over it. The floor fitter mentioned that he would just cover over it when he lays the floor, but I'm not so sure, surely it is there for a purpose.
For info, I live in a 3 bedroom, 2 storey semi detached house. Up until very recently we had an old gas-powered heating system located in an upstairs cupboard. Now we have had it replaced with an Alpha condensing boiler system, powering radiators. What would your specialised opinions be on this issue? Is it safe to cover this vent up?
