Hey all,

We are having a new vertical rad installed in the kitchen. It will be a new drop as the position has changed. The plumber suggested chasing the pipe into the wall which I’m happy to channel out but just wondered if anyone has any examples of what this might look like after plaster and if it will crack the finish?

Are there any other boxing in solutions?

Fitted this way they look good finished with minimal unsightly pipework , but is extra work for the plumber .
This is the way we fit all these types of radiators in bathrooms , dont need to worry to much about plaster , as we tile , is always the last tile to go on grrr .

Fix the radiator and aim for it lol dont want to be out when its done , needs to be accurate .
Deep enough in the masonary , insulated , with a good quality plaster repair it should be invisible .
Can get also fast clip on patrices that clip over the pipe & cover the hole in the wall , so could in thoery make so is never in contact with plaster .
