I'm having to replace an old cast iron soil stack pipe however whilst doing this, it would be really useful to know whether soil stacks MUST be vertical from ground upwards?

I want to add a downstairs toilet which would have the waste pipe exiting some 6ft from the existing soil stack. I also could really do with the vertical stack being in a different place to allow for a boiler flue to be postioned (due to many reasons the flue can only really come out very close to the soil stack, windows, boiler postiions, walls, etc, etc,)

Can there be deviations in the vertical line of a soil stack above ground?

I don't want to get involved in moving underground soil pipes.

Don't think BCO would allow it myself due to build of gases.

Phone them and ask. :D
