Well, now i have the taps fitted however from both the cold and hot taps there is a very slow leak, few drips a minute. It is definaly coming fromthe place the taps join to the pipes.

When i removed the old taps there were no washers, so i figured they were not needed. IS this foolish and wrong ?

If not what can you suggest to stop the leak, I used a couple wraps of PTFE maybe a re join with a bit more PTFE ?

Certainly DOES need washers - red fibre, or plastic.

Not foolish as you made your best logical decision about it at the time but it was Definitely Wrong !!!
