Make them feel very relaxed, give them wine treat them to luxury and at their interview give them the impression that they're dealing with low intelligence interviewers

A quote from the article :

"As prisoners were brought in, they were subjected to a phoney interview, designed to give them a low impression of their questioners and avert suspicion that their accommodation might be bugged.

Back in their rooms, they would then brag to their fellow captives about how little they had revealed to their British interrogators.

One, Freiherr von Reitzenstein, who was picked up in the North Sea on October 1, joked with his cellmate after a five-hour interrogation: ‘My God, what s**t we served them up!’

Of course, the pair had fooled no one, Kendrick later writing that he had found them ‘crude, and incapable of deceiving anybody’. "

Time and again the intelligence and cunning of the British had the orderly teutonic mind of the Germans completely fooled apart from their Blitzkrieg tactics nothing of a deceptive highly intelligent tactics appears to come from Germany ....sure technically skilled. But their dependance on brute force failed against the sheer cunning of the Brits back then. History shows this to be the case.

mean'wile' the septics many years later resorted to torture again instead...

And got nowhere!

We helped them,,ALOT
Funnily enough the UK received more money from the marshall plan than Germany...

Germany just used it in a better way...

But hey, it's just more typical ignorance from a quitter!

 the UK only recently? Made our last payment to the USA for our war loan debt

Doubt the French
Dutch
Belgys

Chipped in ;) or any EU country
Could you tell us how many EU countries there were in 1945?

All European countries paid back their debts...

The UK received more than double what Germany did, but chose not to invest it wisely...

The rest as they say is history...

Quitters of course aren't that good with history

A Bridge Too Far
1977

Great film. Sitting down watching it now. I wonder how hard it was for the German actors playing their parts.

It was the Russians and the Americans who defeated the Nazis.

The Americans assault on the Germans was from which island?

Simple question
Fair point,D.Day shortened the war which saved many lives, Hitler's failure to defeat Britain didn't help either.
