Hello, would be grateful for some advice please.

Just had an extension built with added radiators, etc and noticed that the boiler/pipes in the airing cupboard vibrate when I turn the heating on at the thermostat. It doesn't happen very often and it doesn't tend to happen as soon as I turn it on - it just happens as and when it feels like it. I haven't been able to get into the airing cupboard quickly enough to pinpoint the vibrating pipe as it only happens for a few seconds at a time. I've told my plumber but he said without hearing it for himself he can't help. I've googled water hammer but don't think it's that.

Thanks B

Water hammer comes from mains water pipes and floatvalves. You could have a c/h pump that's getting tired.
