Vibrating Pipes

Hi All,
In the last month every time we fill the bath within a couple of minutes the pipes in the loft start to vibrate and make a din.
The cold pipe to the bath is also connected to the tank and when this is turned on the vibration starts again. The ballcock seems to be functioning OK.
If I go up into the loft I can see and feel the pipes vibrating.
No work has been carried out in the last 12 months to cause this!

I don't mean to act stupid but do you mean the ballcock or something else which I don't understand!

The inlet valve to the water tank in the loft. The valve the ballcock float is attached to. These are pretty cheap (under a tenner) and easy to change once the cold water feed is isolated.
My experience of valves/washers (I'm not a plumber) is once worn they can cause a water hammer effect (vibrating/banging pipes). This will only get worse not better.

I apologise for late posting, I broke a bone in my hand, gardening

Yes it did work by changing the ballcock valve and thanks to all for the help and advice
