*Video* What on earth is this boiler noise?

Boiler: Potterton Promax Combi HE Plus 28

Issue: Intermittently, there is a vibrating/knocking noise AFTER the heating cycle has completed but BEFORE the boiler shuts down. No error codes. This only happens on occasion.

Is it the heating pipes? Or the fan?

Hi Wayne - thanks for your reply. Why do you say to take the cover off? Do you mean leave it off? Or take it off to listen for the cause?

Take off boiler case off and look inside. See if you can see what's causing noise

I've done that, and so has our Gas Engineer. Nothing is faulty. It's either resonance/frequency or the hot water pipes.

Track pipes back. Might have to lift boards.
Check radiator trv valves and adjust so see if noise stops.

Sounds like the pump or the fan might be getting a little old and either or isn't running as balanced as it was before, making the case/frame rattle.

Your engineer should be able to fault find that one easy peasy, can only be a couple of things creating it.
