Hello all,
We have a Visonic Powermax Complete, installed (professionally) about 14 months ago.
All has been working fine until today when we were changing our back door and frame and removed the sensor (both parts) and put them onto the new door and frame. The two parts recognise one another but when I try to set the alarm it says 'not ready to arm' and 'back door open' even though the sensor flashes when it gets close to its counterpart.
Is there something else I should have done with this to make it work?
So I thought to compare it with another sensor, this one on the front door. I didn't remove the entire sensor but just the battery cover. When I put the battery back in (I did it once almost straight away and another time I waited over 10 mins), it flashed a few times and there was no drama. However, when I ask the central unit for error codes it now also says 'front door tamper alarm'!!!
So I opened up the main unit (didn't disconnect anything) and an amber warning light came on and when I put it back and ask for error messages, it says "CPU tamper alarm".
I know my user code and have key fobs etc, but do not know the installers code (I've tried the default codes in a manual I found online).
Is there a way of clearing these errors and also any thoughts on what I need to do to get the alarm system to realise that the back door is not open and that the two sensor parts are in fact in close proximity to one another?
Thanks in advance for reading and hopefully helping me sort the problem out.
