Hi.
My existing visor cooker hood has died. It's hard wired in to a switch on the wall (that has a 5 amp fuse). The one I want to replace it with though comes with a 3 pin plug. Can I simply remove the plug and wire it in to the wall switch the same as my existing hood?

Cheers

Here's a couple of pictures just to confirm what I mean, one of the fused switch (it's 13 amp) and one of the new visor wire with plug.

I'll cut the plug off and connect the live & neutral to the terminals circled in the switch.
