My living area is narrow, about 9 ft, I have painted half of the "outer" wall (shared with neighbour) in a pastel lavender colour which looks great (kitchen extends down half the same wall) but am now hesitating over using same colour on opposite wall (which has an archway three quarters of way along leading into bathroom and bedroom) as am wondering if may have a "tunnel" effect and make room seem even narrower. Any comments please?
Length of room is about 20 ft.
Alternative is to paint it dark cream but really would prefer a splash of colour. Floor is dark gray oblong tiles laid herringbone style, one end is all patio door (3 panels) and opposite end houses the kitchen area (natural wood panel cabinets and gray granite work surface with glass and silver flecks).
All suggestions welcomed! Thanks in advance.
