Hi. I wonder if folks can help. Im looking to buy a 2016 Suzuki Vitara. 72,000 miles and 10 services. There was a rattle I could hear under the car before the test drive. It disappeared after. I want to post a video but says it's too large.

If you get a chance......
Get the car up on a ramp, and check for the aluminium shrouds that cover the exhaust pipe and silencer(s) that comes loose and drops.
Hopefully the rattle is as simple as this.
John :)

Thanks.
The first shot under the car is after a cold start. The second shot under the car is after the test drive. Also does the auxiliary sound ok?

You've given us a bit of a head scratcher here........!
Maybe I can hear a whirring of a bearing, which could be from the alternator or air conditioning compressor. The only real way to isolate these is to remove the auxiliary belt and start the engine up -- hopefully the noise will stop.
I'm not sure if I can see some markings on the aux belt - if so, it will have been replaced recently, around 60k miles being about right.
This engine is pretty tough and should have many more miles left in it, but I'd want the noise sorted first.
John :)

Really? It would put you off? It's really low mileage. There is only one other Vitara in my vicinity that seems to compete on the services side of things. It's a 2018 one, so 2 years newer has a much higher spec (same 1.6 engine), but has 90k on the clock Vs this one on the video with 70k. I'm put off as it has 90k on the clock, but I keep hearing the engine will last for another 60k at least
