Hi there,

The above boiler has stopped heating water last night. I turned it off from the switch and tried to re-ignite but it wouldnt work. I then switched it off completely (from electricity) and tried to re-ignite but it wouldn't ignite.

I thought this might be a pressure problem (which was flat when it stopped working). I repressurized it using the two valves..etc, and it went up to 1.5 bar.

But the thing isn't working yet and the pressure now is at 2 bar.

The problem is that even after it's been off for over a night, the top of the boiler itself is still hot, which seems strange to me since it's supposed not to be working.

Is there a quick fix for that or should I call an engineer?

Any tips would be really appreciated.

Im renting this flat and I do not know when it was last serviced.

Boiler is hot because you have turned the power off to the boiler. Power needs to be maintained to cool the boiler.
