I have a problem.

I bled one of my radiators on Sunday night. Come monday morning the heating and water wasnt working. Now i have checked the pilot light and this is still on...i am at a loss, i am a DIY distaster !

What i did notice was that the water pressure gauge was reading 0 and this should be between 1 and 2. If i can reset this, i think it may work again...but i dont know...

DP can you help ????

A radiator only needs to be bled if the top horizontal rib is cold and bottom same hot. This is indicative of depressed water level (air above the water column).
Radiator should not be bled unnecessariliy as introduction of fresh water does not do the system any good.

For above problem, locate a cross connection between pipe on the right and (usually) second from left. A valve (can have a lever, slotted screw or wheelhead) has to be opened to let water into the boiler to a pressure of 1.25-1.5 bar.

Thank you very much DP. I managed to get it sorted last night...
I can now have a nice hot bath again, i will not be bleeding the radiator in a hurry again... :D
