vokera excell 80 s.p

Knowing the guys at Vokera (Glasgow) and needing their service now and again, I have nothing but praise for service they provide. Calls are answered very fast and guys are very helpfull too.

With the parts that have been replaced on this boiler, it seems the information taken on board was possibly lacking as NO ONE would change a PCB at drop of a hat if HW was working correctly, then to go on and change other parts despite the fact that HW operation was flawless.

Looks like it is a case of sour grapes. I would for once be humbled and accept that I was wrong instead of calling regulars names. Change of name would be a step in the right direction.

I've had my problems with Vokera recently God only knows but you can't fault the techhelp line guys they are in the main very very good, much like all manufacturer tech help lines to be honest.

as for the parts when i phoned voker they talked me throgh the fault finding they said the p.c.b and modulator were at fault. smart a**e

This is very sad!

Firstly, you are totally unable to diagnose faults yourself and have to rely on unqualified telephone operators at the manufacturers who give you simple hints.

Secondly, you seem so unconcerned about the time being taken to fix the boiler and the cost of spare parts you have to fit because you have no clue at all about how to diagnose faults! I expect that you are paid less than £20 per hour!

You should go on the Mr Combi course because its just about at your level! Thats beginners!

It sounds as if you are a beginner employed by one of those insurance repair contractors who quote so low that they cannot afford to employ proper engineers!

why?

why do you assume, in an agile style, that they are unqualified? in my experience the vokera tech folk are very good at their job. are you saying they aren't or are you saying they simply read off a "cheat sheet"? thats not my view. everytime i have phoned they have been very professional and known the boiler in question inside out. how do you know the are not "qualified"?

I expect that you are paid less than £20 per hour!

whoa, is this a famous agile jump to a random conclusion?!?!?!?

is this the beginners course where tony makes elementary mistakes on random boilers but still has the gall to take the michael out of others???

it sounds like tony has had one too many vinos and is making assumptions at the expense of others again.
