Vokera Option, turning on hotwater tap doesnt fire up boiler

Hello,
I have a Vokera Option, when we turn on hot water tap it's not firing up the boiler. Although you can hear water flowing through the boiler.
If I switch to central heating/hot water it fires up fine and we get hot water through, but it means we need the heating on all the time...

There are no warning lights, and it does not appear to need "topping up."

The water company were doing some work outside yesterday... I have a feeling this may have triggered this... Not enough pressure in my pipe?

Any help greatly appriciated!

It may well be the flow switch is sticking, but hard to prove whose fault it was. Flow switch can be found bottom rhs behind controls panel. Easily removed and cleaned. Is there any noticeable reduction in your water flow and pressure? You only need approx 2-3 litres / min for this boiler to work.

Yep pressure has dropped in the hot water tap. Cold water tap is fine.

It worked earlier for about 5 min, but then stopped again. No idea why.

Dirt in the supply pipe has blocked/jammed the flow switch.

The Water Co refuses all responsibility and refers you to their contractor who says they are not responsible.

Actually the Water Co are legally responsible for the short comings of their contractors but when I fix the problem for £106 the customer is not bothered enough to waste time chasing the Water Co.

It needs someone with time on their hands to use a small claim procedure.

If the cold pressure is ok but the hot is not then it may also be a filter(in the boiler) that has done its job but is now restricting flow.
