I moved into a flat last weekend to find that the hot water in the bathroom runs from lukewarm to freezing and back again. All radiators are working and I have hot water to my kitchen.
According to the previous owners, all was fine when they left (should I trust them?!)
The only thing I can think is that my dad installed a new washing machine under the boiler (in the position where the previous one was). He obviously rigged this up using the cold water inlet pipe, which he switched off and back on again.
Is there any chance this operation could have affected the hot water supply to the bathroom?! I'm at the end of my tether and I really don't have the money to hire a plumber this close to xmas.
