I enjoy the GD for all the advice and bickering. So I don't want it closed.

I think as Motorbike has already said... We need a separate political forum.

This way totally unrelated subjects don't get sucked into the nastiness

Fine, except that you (and others) turn every thread into a 'political' one. I'm not going to invest time and thought posting into something that turns into the inevitable slanging match, insult tossing and eventual locking or deletion. Which appears to be what you (and others) get off on. You complain about attempts to stifle debate which is hugely hypocritical - you just go about it slightly differently. Since last Friday, you have drowned out any possibility of having a balanced sub-forum by posting any and every piece of news or non-news that you can find and using it to make what you believe to be a political point. Which it isn't. You don't have any greater rights here than I do or any of the other people reading or posting. This isn't your personal playground.
