Funny how . We have yet to have a response which answers the question. Why my reccomendation on smart thermostat is wrong??? Given someone asked about a vaillant vsmart I offered my advice to what are the best options of a thermostat.the only response I’ve is a arrogant reply. Which at the moment appears because I’m not wrong

Those of us that do this for a living can be in 6 to 8 typical home environments a day and they'll all be totally different.

I don’t believe each home environment has any impact on the type of smart thermostat you would use greatly. In 95% of scenarios tado is the best(unless you have a weather compensation capability). There are modules you can add to enable occupancy style controls if you really want
Do you not realise my typical 4 bed house with a family of 3 I'd going to be totally different to the 3 bed end or terrace I was in yesterday with a little old lady on her own.
Who Iives opposite her mum in a typical 5 bed detached house on her own.

We go into more houses a week than you've probably been to in your adult life on day release. We work on all sorts of different makes and models of products.

And Tado is far from the best of the non boiler manufacturer controls.
Honeywell, Nest, Heatmiser are all better in different ways DEPENDING on the application.

You don’t appear reasonable knowledge in smart thermostat. I expected a response “use xxx of you have a HomeKit system” or use “xxx if you want individual zone control” or use “yyy because the location services isn’t good on zzz”.
I suggest before you start slating. Gain some decent knowledge on smart thermostat. If you have that already, respond appropriately .
You're still claiming to be an expert on the "best" thermostat, yet only know 2, and assume a "smart" thermostat is the best too in life circumstances.

Location services one of the best. Much better than hive. And it knows when

A list of (far from exclusive) features is not a demonstration of it being "the best".
When what?
Hive and nest have very poor buggy location services. Tado is also new , so they have time to look at the market and develop based on this.
Also HomeKit is very responsive compared to other technologies such as IFTTT
Anyway. This is a discussion forum.
