VW Bora ignition switch

I need to replace the switch as the switch seems to have collapsed inside.

Is there anything difficult in fitting a new one?

Its a 2001 Diesel by the way!

It should not pose much of a problem, if you are mechanically adept.

Steering wheel off, cowling off, and a good puller will probably be needed to get the bush off the steering column. Then you need to get the steering lock off (shear bolts) and slide the lock off the column to get to the one, measly, stupidlly placed screw in order to change the switch.
