I have a VW passat TDI reg in 2000. It has Climatronic "air conditioning" system. Does anyone know whether this has a pollen filter and if so where it can be found. The reason for this question is that of late the system has not been working to full capacity and I reckon I may have to change the filter (if it has one).
Thanks

without looking at my autodata computer-most of the vw's the filter is in the plastic bit under the windscreen (passenger side) i expect the air con needs re- gasing if it's not ice cold

YOur car does have a pollen filter and it is located underneath the plenum cover on the n/s/f of the bulkhead, Climatronic systems work off actuators behind the dash on the heater box, You can check to see if there is a fault with these if you plug a fault reader in and interogate the a/c control unit. The climatronic dash display will also flash a couple of times when you start the car up if there is any faults with the system.
