vw polo service light indicator

Hi Folks,

Having replaced the battery, the service light now comes on. The manual says to hold down the odometer then switch ignition on and turn to the right. But this doesn't work

Does anyone know how to reset the service light for an 02 polo?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

According to my info. The vehicles on long life service intervals need to be reset with diagnostic equipment.

Only vehicles with fixed interval servicing can be done by the method you have tried.
