VW Transporter 1.9 TD - what to look for when buying?

I am looking at a VW transporter 1.9 tomorrow hoping to buy it.

Would anyone be kind enough to tell me if there is anything particularly nasty that I should be looking for with this model.

Rusty seams between the panels in early models.

Must be good if that the only thing to look for. It was a VW or a Vito, looks like VW wins!!
