My belt on start up makes a noise , is there a remedy for this.

It has had both timing belts changed and I'm sure it started recently. could it be something to do with not fitted properley?

Check the tension of the alternator / PAS belt - it may not be very tight.
In very cold weather, all belts tend to make some sort of noise until they have rotated a dozen times but this soon goes away.
John :)

The tensioner being a likle loose sounds right cos if you rev the van up a likel then it stops the noise , I presume the noise is the belt moving or oscillating very fast. ;)

Is it an easy job.

The noise is caused by the belt skidding on the pulley, once it has slipped for a little while it gets warm and soft so the grip improves. It shouldn't be to difficult to adjust.

your probably find that the pulley might of seized?and the tensioner is worn.

It's a 'T' Registration , Is that 97 ish?

When the timing belt was changed I got the full 'kit' for it I'm sure the tensioner and pully was with it,, Maybe?
