vw transporter headlamps failure

i have a vw transporter t4 & the dipped & main beam has stopped working i have checked bulbs & fuses there all ok anyone got any other ideas?

Would guess at there being a relay in there somewhere but don't know the VWs specifically, May be in the same box as the fuses but could be separate. If there is, check for power to and from the contacts.

According to my diagrams there isnt a relay on that circuit. The feed comes out directly from the combination switch through the fuses to the light assemblies.

As above and check for power both sides of the fuses? From the diagram have both dip and mainbeam the same earth point?

yes they share the earth

If both sides have the same earth point it might be worth checking for corrosion
