Wago connectors for cable joins

Well, yes, obviously any method suitable for buried hidden joints may be used - unless 'safe' zones disappear with the accessory, but suggesting anything other than the OP originally stated seems to be frowned upon.
I don't think it's fair to say that I have 'frowned upon' anything.

I merely pointed out that since the OP's stated aim was to achieve a situation in which "...the area above the work top has less switches/sockets on display", it seemed unlikely that he would want to go with the suggestion of changing the SFCUs to sockets.

Yes, we know that -

but we are allowed to air our views and perhaps change change the OP's mind (for the better) - because I'd go as far as saying that having fewer "sockets and FCUs" by having the same number of "sockets and blank plates" is a pointless silly idea.

That number of sockets would be a far better idea.

He also said "then replace the under counter sockets with switched ones" which is also unnecessary. They will either be inaccessible or the plug will be able to be removed.

I realise it is his house and he can do whatever he likes but that doesn't make it any better.

What happened to the oft quoted "it's a good idea to be able to turn off the below worktop appliances" with which I may also disagree if it is unsightly?

So would I.

However, as I understand it, the only reason the OP wants to do anything is to reduce the number of visible "sockets/switches", and he intimated at the start that he would regard blank plates as more acceptable - so, as you go on to say, ...

No-one has yet produced that one in this thread. Not only is their no such 'requirement' but, as you indicate, a good few people (like yourself) feel that there is no need.
