Hi all -

part way through a kitchen renovation, wall beneth a window has been cut away and french doors installed. As a home owner newbie, what do i put inbetween the cavity/door frame before i can re-tile the edge of the floor and re-plaster the wall?

thanx

If it's the door reveals, you can dot'n'dab them using wall board adhesive and 12.5mm plasterboards, they can then either be finished using board plaster or by filling out with jointing compound (easi-fill).
Any joints should be taped and external angles beaded using thin coat beads.

Use cavity closers for the sides and grub out the bricks to below floor level (at least a full course below) then make good the floor with polythene and floor screed or concrete.

thanx very much to both of you for the prompt reply, im not confident with this but will have a punt at it. Where will i be able to buy the materials (cavity closers), normal DIY stores for example?

thanx
