Hi another newbie here,

We recently fitted a wall mounted basin mixer tap (Cifial make) which dripped from new. Both cartridges have been replaced which didn't solve the problem. The manufacturer sent someone out to check it and recommeneded replacing the whole tap and manifold.

This was replaced at the weekend and now the tap levers are not horizontally aligned (presumably due to the way they tighten on the spigots?). Also, the tap still continues to drip!

Any ideas welcome before having to call out a plumber.

What kind of quality is that tap?

Re-aligning the levers should be easy, just pull off and refit. Are they quarter turn?

They are supposed to be very good quality. Here's a link to the actual tap: http://www.cifial.co.uk/technoM3/technoM3.html

Yes the taps are quarter turn, if we pulled them off to move they were either too high or too low, however, we have now managed to get them aligned by tightening them until straight.

The problem now is the tap still drips. Not sure what else to try!
