Ok, so I'm doing up the bathroom and decided I wanted wall mounted taps.

I didn't consider when buying them that they would need space behind the tiled surface! In total the taps need about 3.5inches. The wall is 3/4inch batons on top of breeze block.

So I am thinking that when I put the plasterboard up on that wall I will stud it out to 2 inches so I will still need 2 inches say. Is it ok to take 2 inches away from the breeze block with a chisel? Then a Chanel down to under the bath level to bring pipe work out?

Hopefully this makes sense!

Thanks
Darren

Depends how thick the blockwork is, with 9" blocks no problem. With 4 inch might crack them up.

They are 4inch, double skinned cavity wall.

Hmmm might need to re think unless anyone can offer suggestions?
