I have a wall (skim plastered, mist coast + 2 matt emulsion coats) that will be wallpapered. The wall is clearly porous. if i flick water, it is absorbed which to me means the wall needs to be sized/primed accordingly. Is this correct?

Now, this is the first time I'll be using self-adhesive wallpaper (it is a mural), should I size it as normal or can I skip this step? Any suggestions from seasoned decorators? Many thanks!
