Hello. Existing bathroom was plastered / looked mostly old style plaster. They had tiled up to halfway round the room and just had a bath. I have stripped it all of. So bare brick halfway, upto existing plaster. My intention was just to get the plasterer to plaster and skim the whole room. Much of the room will be painted, but i will just have a showered area….is that ok to tile on, or should i ask for a specific finish? Alternatively I could cement board after, but that will mean it doesn’t sit flush with rest of the wall?

Remove all plaster up to ceiling in the shower area, aquapanel this area completely and tank it.
The rest can be replastered and tiled.
