wall socket

hi can any1 help?im installing a new single built-in electric cooker&on the wall socket to which i have connected wires from cooker there are two red&one black wire loose.its a single white socket with a switch&the green&yellow&one black wire is connected but oven wont work&ignitor for gas hob isnt working.would appreciate any advice thankyou!

The only sensible advice is to get an electrician to check that the socket and more importantly the cable supplying it are suitable to supply the amount of power the cooker will be taking. If the socket and cable are suitable then the electrician will most probably be able to make the connection and then do the necessary testing to ensure the oven can be safely used.
 
ok thanks,not sure if they will come out xmas eve&will problys charge alot.

So, the wall socket exists, yes?

The mystery wires are the ones from the cable that comes from the cooker, yes?

Is the cooker new and did it come with installation instructions?
Can you take a pic and post the relavent bits on here (see foum information on how to do this).

Or, what is the make and model of the cooker?
