Wallpaper hanging time.

Instructions on wallpaper say's to leave the paper for a given time, what happens if the papers hung before the set time... Does the paper expand or shrink in the time before it is hung.
What happens if you leave the paper abit longer than the set time given, is it best to leave it longer than not enough before hanging............

Longer = better . but try and get roughly same time soaking expands before it`s hung.
