Wallpaper on radiators

I went to see a client today with regards to moving a radiator and I noticed that he had wallpapered OVER all the radiators in his house! Using some sort of thick woodchip wallpaper, he had somehow softened it enough to get it to follow the shape of the indents on the radiator panel! Every rad in his house!

I wonder if this has affected the heat output??

Dont know if it affects heat output to any degree but it could be the start of a new designer trend.
