Hi all this is my first post, ive read a few of yours and have found it very helpful and I could also see by some of the uploads that there are some very good tradesmen giving out help and advice and thats great!.

I have some old mirrored sliding wardrobe doors which are a bit tatty and Im thinking about taking the mirror out and the sliders etc and placing them into new frames, maybe mdf veneered or timber(5x1 frame around outside)
what do you think is best? and whats the best way to do it?

cheers

how thick is the glass!!!!

assuming around 4mm
would go for somthing 5x1/4x1/3x1" 6mm rebate and backed with 6mm ply

although if you are recycling the runners and door mechanism the door thickness will be limited!!!
