I'd like to find a way to use waste dryer heat as a gardening season extender by running it under cold frames along my house, in the hopes that conducted heat from the piping will stop the soil from freezing.
I'm thinking I'd use 6" electrical conduit, and run it 2' below grade, directly along the exterior of the house, for about 16 feet. Holes would be drilled in the bottom of the tube to allow any condensation to drain. The end would output to open air at the far end of the pipe.
1) Could this create any back-pressure that would impact the performance or safety of my dryer?
2) Is this too far of a distance for venting?
3) Are there other considerations I've not taken into account?
