I knew someone once who scammed close on £1M spread out over dozens of finance companies and then fled the country, reasoning that as none of them had lost more than a few £10ks they wouldn't bother to pursue him.justiceinvestigator said:~£150 from 10 people...OldSparky said:

Unsurprisingly he "lost touch" with the people who knew him here, but nobody ever heard that he had been brought back.
