I had a semi-retired joiner come round a couple of weeks ago to make and fit a couple of "made-to-measure" softwood units to fit over the electric and gas meters. I was put in touch with him by a mate.
Anyway, he did a cracking job and I was happy when he was finished but now it seems that the softwood doors have warped outwards and the magnetic door catches dont actually make contact and I cant close the doors properly. When I stand above the doors they appear to have bent outwards away from the cupboard.
Does anybody have any idea as to what might have caused this before I give him a call?
I was thinking perhaps changes in room temperature might have caused it although there aren't any radiators nearby. Or maybe he has used the wrong type of softwood?
Im completely stumped but I want to get some idea's from an expert before I contact him.
Thanks in advance!
