How long can the pipe reasonably be? I guess very if downhill, but they normally outlet at the bottom and then pump upwards.

I'd like to extend the pipe to about 10m away.

Cheers.

Are you asking about the grey outlet pipe or the upstand?

Drain hose needs to rise from the machine, and then down to discharge point, otherwise dirty, stale water will run back into the machine, and taint the laundry. Keep pipe low, and the machine will never fill up as the water will drain out as fast as it fills.

Best practice is to always run a suitable waste pipe to the machine, rather than extending the drain hose.
