Hi Guys,

Hopefully you can help with a waste problem for the sink/Washing machine and Dishwasher.

Currently washing machine and dishwasher are to the left of the sink unit the waste pipe drops to just above floor level and about a foot away from the stench pipe it lifts with a 90 degree bend upwards and then another 90 degree bend taking the waste into the stench pipe approx 250mm from the floor.

This is causing problems with blockages in the first bend. Is there anyway to change the route of this? Various reasons mean I cant drop the entry point into the stench pipe

Hope this makes sense!

Cheers

have you not got a pic?
for one it can't go up hill what ever happens.

Can you not fit a stand pipe, drain the machine into that, then let the stand pipe connect to your stench pipe.
It wont be going up any hills then, if I have understood.

There is a stand pipe behind the washing machine, the standpipe seems standard height, which connects to the horizontal waste pipe, which then does the weird uphill thing! Know that the waste sould never go up!

As I said cant drop the entry point into the stench, can I rip all this out, connect into original connection of stench pipe, have the required fall to the washing machine, but this would mean having a very small (in height) standpipe.

Sorry cant do picture thing!

don't have a standpipe then fit a washing drain kit.
dam sight cleaner and better looking than them standpipes or fit a sink trap with w/m outlet.

Thanks Seco,

Could I rip the whole standpipe thing out, fit a different sink trp that will take a washing machine and dishwasher, then take a straight run into the soil?

Sounds like a fix to me, but not sure if its possible to take both appliances into a sink trap.

Cheers

fit a waste trap with two w/m outlets. i think i got last one from b&q.

or fit

you can get them with two outlets, i get mine from bes.

or one on a sink and one on the w/m drain kit.

the w/m drain must be before a trap or what i do is fit a running trap before soil pipe.
