Hi - I am installing new kitchen and changing position of sink. Access to soil pipe is 3m from sink and will run behind units with one 90 degree bend. At end of run just before soil path the waste will pick up washing machine and dishwasher waste. Would 40mm pipe be sufficient with appropriate drop across length or would I need to go to 50mm.

Also I assume welded pipe would be much better than push fit.

Thanks

Nigel

Welded pipe once it's done it's done, if it doesn't leak on day 1 it's fine, it's neat/slim and cheap. Push fit is dismountable/adjustable.

Just choose the right pipes, push fit pipe is slightly smaller and you can only solvent weld abs or PVC pipe. The only way to join them is with a compression joint.
