Hi all,

First post so please be gentle! ;)

I currently have a washing machine where the waste pipe is in, what I think is called, a standpipe. Now, I have just ordered a dishwasher and since it is located no-where near the sink (in the utility room), I can't connect the waste for either there. I therefore assume that my only option is another 'standpipe'. Can you please tell me how easy it would be to fit some sort of double connection to the existing standpipe to create a double waste pipe, and is it even possible/advisable?

Thanks for any replies!

It should be simple enough to tee into the existing waste outlet & create a double standpipe as you require. Do you have spare length in the current waste pipe to break into before it goes through the wall? A pic would be helpful if you could post one.
