Hi guys,

I'm having a new kitchen installed shortly.

Dishwasher sits on one side of the sink, washing machine on the other.

Is it acceptable to have a dishwasher and washing machine emptying into the sink waste via a double spigot or is this bad news? I'm pretty sure the installer will try to push me down this route. I want the best solution for the problem - not necessarily the easiest.

Currently, the washing machine joins the sink waste about a meter away from the drain via it's own standpipe. Would it be better to have each appliance empty into a seperate standpipe.

Cheers.
