Hello All, my daughter has recently had a new kitchen installed, and the fitter has plumbed in a kind of U-trap under the double sink that I've never seen before as it includes a nozzle (which is currently plugged), and apparently is intended for the washing machine drain pipe to be pushed onto. As the only waste connection I'm familiar with is the type in which the w/m pipe is inserted into, and not pushed onto, I'm sceptical that this is a safe and secure connection method. I'm thinking that as the nozzle is conical, it wouldn't take much effort for the w/m pipe to slip off with unamusing consequences. Has anyone any experiences of this (new to me) fitting? ....and your thoughts.......Thanks!
