Washing machine drain connector

Sorry for the year long delay! So I got the part suggested by opps/Huggybear but have realised that it’s not so easy to connect to as I need to insert a short flexible hose to go into it and upstream of that (towards the dryer) a piece to change the diameter (as the dryer hose is only about 9 mm). Perhaps this would work better as I just unscrew the washing machine and then put this in and connect the dryer hose directly to the smaller barbed part. https://www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine...e-tee-piece-connector-white-40mm/4167P?tc=JR4

Only issue that I can think of is that it will be at a 45 degree angle, am I missing something?

Thanks again!
